As an advocate practising exclusively in taxation law, Advocate Kevin Burt’s expertise and experience spans advisory and litigation relating to direct and indirect taxation. His practice is predominantly based on tax-litigation and is prominent, in particular, in cases often involving the crossover between administrative law and taxation law.
Kevin has written extensively on various aspects of taxation law and is a regular contributor to The Taxpayer, Tax Planning (Corporate and Personal) and Business and Company Law Quarterly.He holds the degrees of BSocSc (Economics) and LLB from the University of Cape Town, LLM (Tax) from the University of South Africa and MBA (cum laude) from the Cass Business School, City University of London. He is a member of the Island Group of Advocates in Sandton, Johannesburg.
