Lutando Mvovo is responsible for international tax and treaties at the South African National Treasury.
He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and has over 12 years of international tax experience which was gained while working at KPMG and at National Treasury. His areas of expertise include transfer pricing, controlled foreign company rules, tax treaties, international tax planning and tax policy.
Lutando is also a deputy chairperson of the SADC Tax Sub-Committee meetings and South Africa’s delegate to OECD Working Party 1 and Bureau of the AD Hoc Group on BEPS MLI. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law and a master’s degree in Tax law from the University of Johannesburg.
